Resilient WAN Service for entire district network provides a redundant connection to the Regional Information Center, via a dedicated circuit. This link is intended to keep the district operational in times of broadband outage, including student activity. Optional considerations are; diverse vendor from BB connection, diverse building path for circuit, redundant meet point equipment, redundant firewall, redundant core network switch and redundant building connection.

  • Sign project for hardware and license purchases and installation
  • Provide Active Directory platform for user authentication

  • Procure and install hardware and licenses
  • Connect system to district Active Directory
  • Provide telecommunication circuit to RIC
  • Maintenance of hardware and licenses, including appropriate software updates

    The WNYRIC utilizes cost effective best practices determined by research from Gartner and Info Tech that allows our experienced and trained technical staff to perform robust testing and piloting on the WNYRIC Network in the areas of; security, infrastructure engineering and design, energy management, virtualization strategies, disaster recovery and business continuity, effective monitoring and pro-active analysis customized for the K-12 educational environment. By following these principles we are able to be a District advocate for vendor contract issues and aggressively negotiate contract terms.

    The Service Desk (716-821-7171 Option 2 or 800-872-0780 Option 2) is in operation from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, to assist school district personnel in the use of this service.
